The soaps are on the cusp of an incredibly dramatic week, as confirmed in my new spoilers for upcoming episodes, with tragedy set to strike and the long-awaited return of one of the genre’s most-known characters.
I am of course talking about Grant Mitchell, who stages his EastEnders return next week just prior to the show’s upcoming 40th anniversary celebrations.
Ross Kemp reprises the role that made him a star as Grant returns to Walford to save struggling Phil, while Emmerdale lines up a week of tragedy and chaos, with a limo full of villagers plummeting into an icy lake.
Coronation Street, meanwhile, reveals who Rob Donovan is working with behind bars as his plan begins to take form, while Hollyoaks sees the aftermath of Abe Fielding’s downfall leave a number of villagers up in arms.
Down in Ramsay Street, Neighbours favourite Aaron Brennan is left fighting for his life after a terrifying incident.
It’s a week not to be missed across the entire genre and if you’re desperate to know everything there is to know then you’re in luck as I’ve got all the spoilers you could possibly need. So let’s get stuck in.
EastEnders
1. Phil continues to push his loved ones away, with Sharon left deeply concerned. He struggles to decipher reality as his mental health worsens and he experiences symptoms of psychosis in the form of hallucinations from his family home in 1985. As his negative internal dialogue worsens, he starts to converse with characters from the past – as well as his former younger self.
2. When Phil is located, he claims he is fine, ordering Sharon away once again. Nigel, however, arrives home with a visitor who he hopes will be able to help Phil in his time of need. It’s Grant!
3. Sonia is transfixed by Bianca’s confession video and Reiss attempts to convince her to drop it. Things escalate and she’s rushed to hospital before being discharged. Reiss heads to the lockup while Bianca resolves to delete the confession – but she makes a chilling discovery in the process and a tense showdown with the killer ensues.
4. Linda arrives home from rehab, with her loved ones comforting her.
5. Ruby impresses Martin with a thoughtful gesture and later with Stacey, the couple reminisce about old times. Kathy and Sharon are warmed by the nostalgia.
6. Priya and Ian attempt to make Cindy and Ravi jealous – but Cindy has other ideas.
Coronation Street
7. CCTV footage of the arsonist surfaces and Kevin shows it to Nick and Shona. Shona is left reeling but she quickly covers. the question is: just what has Shona seen?
8. Prisoner guard Mandy collects Rob from his cell and passionately kisses him. Carla, meanwhile, learns that Rob has had an allergic reaction to some antibiotics and thus has been rushed to hospital. Carla visits Rob in hospital, with Mandy getting rid of her. With Carla out of sight, will Mandy and Rob succeed in getting away?
9. Mason’s coffin is loaded into the hearse as residents of the Street – including Abi – watch on.
10. Kit interviews Leanne following her arrest and goes over all the evidence, suggesting that she started the fire. Leanne is quick to defend herself and, while admitting that it looks bad, she assures him that she’s innocent.

11. Sally accompanies Kevin to a hospital appointment to get his results. The consultant informs Kevin that he will need an operation.
12. Cassie admits to Leanne that she really likes Steve. Leanne urges her to take a chance.
Emmerdale
13. Caleb is blindsided to realise that Anthony was telling the truth about Cain and Ruby. He breaks down over such a thing and contemplates getting revenge on his brother.
14. Liam buys tickets for the raffle night out in a limo and resolves to propose to Chas. When he fails to win the raffle, he begs Suzy to get a hold of another limo. Kerry plans a girls night out after winning the raffle and, upon learn Chas is going out with her, Liam plans a boy’s night in the second limo. Things, however, descend into chaos, with both drivers distracted as the cars swerve off road in unrelated incidents. One limo crashes into a frozen lake and the ice begins to crack. Who will make it out alive? And who won’t?
15. Joe is taken aback when Charity confronts him over his affair with Dawn but he’s even more rattled upon learning of Kim’s distrust and therefore fakes a positive family call. Noah decides to back out of moving to Dubai, prompting Joe to react in an unexpected way. Noah comes to reconsider after his tools are stolen but as Joe celebrates, he realises that he’s been conned by Noah and Charity.
16. Moira’s horrified when a chunk of her hair falls out and demands that Cain leave her alone.
17. Leyla is disappointed to discover a small bag of white powder in Jacob’s bag and she confronts him over it, embarrassing him in front of his mates.
Hollyoaks
18. The villagers are up in arms in the wake of Mercedes’ arrest but will the truth about Abe’s demise – and who was really to blame – be uncovered?
19. Sienna wants to talk to Cleo about what happened between them but Cleo has much bigger concerns.
20. Dillon asks Lucas to move in with him. The couple move their belongings into Weirside View – James’ old flat – and throw a party.
21. Frankie gets to know Kat, who Rex invites over. Darren is concerned about why stranger Kat is hanging around with younger people and resolves to get to the bottom of the situation.
Neighbours
22. Jane feels reinvigorated following her passion with Clint but her happiness is short-lived when she learns that Terese has had noise complaints from Eirini Rising residents over the sounds coming from the empty apartment they used as their love nest!
23. Holly is left upset to learn that Paul cut her from the short list for the Piano Bar manager job. With Terese’s help, she arranges an impromptu try-out while Paul joins Terese for a romantic evening. But despite Holly’s optimism, everything that could go wrong… does!
24. Aaron is feeling down as Valentine’s Day approaches, having turned down Rhett – and he’s even more upset when he discovers that Rhett has moved on. He takes a drink, unaware the whiskey has been tampered with and, still under the influence of the drug, he stumbles and falls into the pool at No. 32, leaving him in serious danger.
