A night of boundless fun and frivolity in Emmerdale ends in unimaginable tragedy.
Two limos, one full of all the village ladies and another full of the suited and booted boys head out for a night to remember – booze is flowing, energy is running high, there’s goodie bags and movie themes, and even a planned proposal from Liam (Jonny McPherson).
But fate has different ideas.
‘There is a destination. A very final destination…’ Dominic Brunt enigmatically tells us, leaving our nerves jangling on edge.
In the lads’ car a fight breaks out leading driver Caleb (Will Ash), who’s already distracted by his internal rage at his brother’s betrayal, to be consumed by the ruckus and fail to see a truck heading straight for them.
In the girls’ car, Charity (Emma Atkins) is preoccupied by the wild women in the back.
Forgetting everything she knows about road safety, she takes her eyes off the road for a millisecond and when she turns back, is startled to see son Noah (Jack Downham) stood in the middle of the road.
Mother’s instinct kicks in to save her child and sacrifice herself, and she sends the car hurtling off the road.
One of the two cars careens straight into a frozen lake.
Inside the limo is utter devastation. There are injuries galore and stuff thrown everywhere. But one person is in a worse way than most – they’re not breathing.

Many lives are at stake and with panic setting in, it’s a fight for survival. But as they move, the car starts to sink through the fragile ice.
