A 74-year-old pensioner was left with broken bones down his body after he was ‘assaulted’ by a traffic warden in a row over a parking ticket.
Peter Elliott was helping his daughter take her children to school on January 17 when he parked on a crossover between a pavement and the road.
As his daughter and grandchildren got out of the car on Straight Road, outside of St Ursula’s school in Romford, east London, a traffic warden appeared outside of Peter’s car.
He issued Peter with a parking ticket for obstruction, which the former lorry driver insists was absolutely not the case.
He told Metro: ‘I pulled into where I usually park outside of the school, and waited for my daughter to get back from taking her children over the road.
‘A traffic warden suddenly appeared out of nowhere with a camera. He took a picture of my car and told me I was being ticketed.’
An argument then assumed between the pair, as Peter got his phone to take a picture of the warden.

The disagreement continued over the road, until the traffic warden screamed ‘stop f***ing following me’ and pushed Peter to the ground.
He said: ‘I fell down onto the ground on my right side, but I didn’t feel any pain immediately.
‘But I came up in really nasty bruising and for a week after I couldn’t sit or lie down comfortably.’
Peter, who was diagnosed with leukemia in 2021, said he eventually went to the doctors and was after an X-Ray told he had several fractures down the right side of his body.
