Daisy’s heart breaks as Daniel shares big news with Bertie in Coronation Street

Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) is keeping a big secret in Coronation Street, and the guilt of it is about ready to crush her.

Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) was over the moon when Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) told him that he was the father of Daisy’s baby, but her actions left Daisy feeling sick to her stomach.

In reality, the father of Daisy’s baby is actually Kit Green (Jacob Roberts), which Jenny was horrified to learn after blabbing to Daniel.

Things only got more complicated when Daniel then offered to invest son Bertie’s money into the Rovers, in order to help Jenny and Daisy pay off the debts they’d accrued with Carla Connor (Alison King).

Deciding not to tell him the truth, Daisy encouraged him to put his name on the deeds of the pub so that his investment was legally protected – something that left Jenny furious.

She couldn’t bear the idea of no longer being landlady, but soon realised that there was no other option if they wanted to clear their debts.

Despite now having all their ducks in a row, Daisy was still clearly torn about whether she had made the right decision in keeping quiet.

Her discomfort only increased in recent scenes when Daniel suggested telling Bertie that he was going to be a big brother.

Daisy worried that it was too soon, but Daniel pointed out that he’d be able to tell eventually, especially with everyone around them talking about babies.
