Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) is facing a problem in Emmerdale, and she’s completely terrified.
Yesterday, a flashback scene aired during Leyla Harding’s (Roxy Shahidi) funeral that confirmed Manpreet has been hiding a secret from her friends in the village.
Events planner Leyla discovered what Manpreet has been up to only because she walked in on her at the wrong time. She managed to spot pictures of Manpreet on her laptop and was stunned.
Just before the episode ended, Manpreet was standing alone outside. She then received a text, which confirmed someone else knows about the photos.
Tonight’s episode allowed us to discover Manpreet’s secret side-hustle in more detail, as she told Ella Forster (Paula Lane) that she started posting intimate photographs onto a website, similar to OnlyFans.

She admitted to her friend that she started sharing pictures on her social media after discovering Charles (Kevin Mathurin) had slept with Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy). Manpreet wanted a confidence boost and to feel validated, but it was making the leap to that private site that changed things for her.
Ella didn’t judge Manpreet, but did feel concerned when the local GP said she was still getting worrying texts. To try and stop the messages from continuing, Ella suggested deleting Manpreet’s account.

The app was deleted, but the blackmailer immediately texted Manpreet after, confirming they’d still make her life a misery, profile or not.
Manpreet and Ella then watched a variety of pictures come through on the device, allowing them to realise the person sending the messages had taken screenshots of the images.
It means they could still expose Manpreet’s secret to the villagers – with proof as well.
