Three gunmen opened fire ‘indiscriminately’ at a pub during its grand opening party leaving 12 wounded before they fled the scene.
Police in Toronto said they were called to reports of multiple people being shot at the Piper Arms pub in Scarborough on Friday night.
Paramedics said 11 adults suffered injuries, with some remaining in a critical condition, while police confirmed 12 were hurt.
The pub was seen with huge ‘now open’ signs across its exterior, and is understood to have been packed with guests.
They told Canada’s CP24 Media it was a ‘dynamic situation’, with four people were also confirmed to not have life-threatening injuries.

Armed police were seen at the scene along with other emergency vehicles.
Paul McIntyre, Superintendent in the Organized Crime Enforcement Unit, said it was ‘by the grace of God’ there were no fatalities.
He said three suspects entered the pub, one armed with an assault rifle while the other two were armed with handguns.
‘They walked into the bar, they produced their guns and they opened fire,’ he told reporters.
‘When you walk in, it’s kind of eerie. The drinks are still on the table. The food is still on the table. People’s purses, shoes are still in there.
‘There’s a lot of damage to the walls. There’s glass walls that are shattered. There’s blood all over the floor.’

Six victims were shot, while the others were injured by broken glass, he added.
Footage seen by police shows punters ducking for cover as the gunfire rang out.
