Ross Barton (Michael Parr) was surprised in tonight’s episode of Emmerdale as Steph Miligan (Georgia Jay) said she no longer wanted to see him.
Steph and Ross started spending time with each other not long after she arrived in the village. They’ve never really confirmed the status of their relationship, but it’s clear they both enjoyed hanging out with each other.
Last week, Steph discovered the truth about her granddad Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day).
Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) confessed to murdering the old man and also explained that she was sexually abused by her father when she was a child.

The newcomer was left utterly broken. It didn’t take Steph very long to work out that Ruby left home when she was pregnant, which meant her biological father is also her granddad.
It’s this disturbing connection that has impacted Steph the most. Shortly after learning of her mum’s secrets, Steph was found by Ross in The Hide.
Realising something was bothering her, he attempted to make her feel better, but Steph made a comment about Ross not really knowing who she is, and left.

Steph pushed Ross away again in tonight’s episode, as she continued to be consumed with torment.

Once again, she alluded to the fact Ross doesn’t know the person she really is.
