Rhode’s Peptide Lip Tint has been a viral sensation since its launch in 2023, selling out time and time again thanks to its ultra-nourishing formula and high-shine finish
While fans love the glossy, plumping effect, the £18 price tag isn’t always as appealing. Plus, Hailey Bieber’s beauty brainchild is often sold out. Though the majority of Rhode’s deeply nourishing lip products are in stock at the time of writing this, we want an affordable and accessible lip product to shop on demand – desperate times, desperate measures and all.
Enter Glow Hub’s Lip Slick Collagen Up Beauty Balm. The nourishing lip product is a budget-friendly alternative to the Rhode Peptide Lip Tint that delivers the same boost of hydration to combat chapped, dry and cracked lips for just £8, instead of £18.

BUY NOW FOR £18The Glow Hub’s Lip Slick is the latest addition to the affordable skincare brand’s line-up, and one we predict will fly off the shelves.
It has been designed to provide the same hybrid skincare-meets-make-up benefits as Rhode’s cult-favourite lip tint. The Lip Slick Collagen Up Beauty Balm contains collagen-enhancing peptides, as well as nourishing oils, including avocado and castor oil, which work to hydrate the lips, combat any dryness, soothe sore chapped lips, as well as plump the area.
Similarly, the Rhode Peptide Lip Tint is packed with peptides, a selection of vitamins – including vitamins E, D and A, shea butter, as well as cupuaçu, as well as babasu, to hydrate the lips, lock in moisture, as well as plump any fine lines.
Both lip treatments share the same hero ingredient: peptides, and both brands offer a variety of colours, and flavours, to suit your make-up look.
However, the finish is slightly different. Rhode’s Lip Tints leave an ultra glossy and high-shine finish, whereas Glow Hubs offers a softer cream-like finish, which we actually prefer as it looks more natural.
The application is also slightly different. Glow Hub’s design comes in a roll tube, like many classic balm designs we know and love, whereas Rhode’s design comes in a tube and filters out of an asymmetric applicator top. Both can be applied directly to the lip, but Rhode’s creation can also be applied to a finger, or brush, before slathering on the lips. Our one bug bear is the Rhode packaging can make it difficult to get every last drop out of the squeezy tube, whereas Glow Hub’s innovation allows you to use up every morsel of the product, which is less wasteful.
Many beauty enthusiasts have drawn similarities between Glow Hub’s Bear Hug shade and Rhode’s Espresso Lip Tint, though fans are praising Glow Hub’s creation for its instantly hydrating benefits.

Taking to Glow Hub’s website, one happy shopper gushed: ‘The perfect nude DOES exist! Creamy, hydrating, glossy, and the perfect amount of colour. I’ve got Tutu for everyday and Bear Hug for nights out – obsessed!’
Another customer, Cristina, shared: ‘I recently tried the Lip Slick in shade TuTu now let me tell you, this is the most nourishing, buttery, lip product I have ever used. The colour is beautiful to dress up with or without makeup, any occasion. I received so many compliments on how good my lips looked when I went out with the girls. I cannot recommend this product enough.’
While Scarlett added: ‘Looove this product. Such a nice balmy formula, glides on super easy. I’ve got neutral undertones, usually quite tanned and I went for cloud. Looks so good on its own in the day, I’ve been using it with a brown lip liner for the evening.’
Considering Glow Hub’s Lip Slick is a make-up cosmetic and skincare hybrid, is in stock (for now at least), and comes with a purse-friendly price tag, it’s a no brainer.
