The soaps serve up the high drama next week, as confirmed in our new spoilers, with unexpected twists, engagements, returns and more in store for the residents of our favourite serials.
Emmerdale sees conflict aplenty as the aftermath of Chas Dingle’s collapse sends shockwaves through the village, with Ella Forster on the receiving end of all the blame.
To complicate matters further, Manpreet Sharma is dragged into the chaos, with an unexpected outcome on the cards for the local GP.
EastEnders, meanwhile, sees Phil Mitchell back in the Square as his close friends and neighbours ask questions about where he’s been, while Coronation Street’s Carla Connor comes face-to-face with Rob Donovan – and a gunshot rings out!
Over in Hollyoaks, Marie Fielding gets engaged to Tony Hutchinson while Neighbours deals with the aftermath of the 40th anniversary as questions are asked about a shock death and Harold Bishop is left confused over newcomer Agnes.

EastEnders
1. Avani tries to cheer Lily up, encouraging her to skip school with her and Amy instead. Marvin, the boy who sold Avani vapes, offers them drugs. Avani refuses but the police show up and take the girls to the station, with officers explaining that they need to strip search Avani, believing she could have more drugs on her. Suki is appalled when she learns of what’s happened but Avani won’t let her lodge a complaint.
2. Phil is grateful for the support of his loved ones but he doesn’t want his friends and neighbours to know that he was in a mental health facility. Nigel slips up and apologises profusely but Phil attempts to brave it out, while George enquires about how best to help his mate.
3. Linda attempts to matchmake Johnny and Felix but she soon decides to focus on herself, with Kim agreeing to help her find a date. Later in the week, Linda goes on a date with a man named Jeff.
4. Elaine takes over when Linda receives a call from the insurance company, confirming they will get the pay out to rebuild the Vic. Linda is excited at first but that soon changes when heavy-handed Elaine begins to call the shots.
5. Gina and Anna ask Nicola for bar work at Harry’s Barn but there is only one job available – so she tells them that they will need to compete for the position.
6. Ravi realises something is wrong.
Emmerdale
7. Ella is refusing to leave the village and implores Liam to believe that Chas set her up, arguing that she likely has a painkiller addiction. Chas isn’t pleased with Ella’s claims, nor is she happy that Liam investigates to see if there is any truth to them. Manpreet, meanwhile, urges Ella to move out and, feeling betrayed, the schemer informs the village about the GP’s online pictures.
8. Cain warms to Kammy, whose relationship with Sarah blossoms, much to the dismay of Charity. Vinny, meanwhile, has his reservations after he realises that Sarah hasn’t disclosed her health condition to the newcomer.
9. Steph struggles with knowledge of her paternity and, upon realising she’s upset, Jai decides to try and find out what it is that’s on her mind. Caleb shuts down his intrusion with an impromptu cover story while Steph confides in Ruby about how all she can see in the mirror is Anthony. Despite Ruby’s reassurances, Steph looks up plastic surgery providers.
10. Marlon hides a letter from Dylan in rehab and Paddy urges him to tell April
11. Brenda is taken aback when Nicola explains that she’s won a competition in a magazine.
12. April’s experiences set her apart from her friends as she meets up with them at Mulberry Cottage. Soon, Marlon and Rhona wonder how to handle the situation moving forward.
Coronation Street
13. Tracy summons Carla to No. 1 on Rob’s instruction. Carla is horrified to see Rob, who holds her at gunpoint. The situation escalates rapidly and a gunshot rings out. But just who has been hit?
14. Julie wants to spend her final days living life to the full but as she and Eileen head out to a cocktail bar, she pretends to take her medication. Later, she experiences pain.
15. Newcomer Theo apologises when a piece of scaffolding nearly misses Julie. Taken aback to discover that Julie has cancer, Theo tells Todd he’d like to buy her some flowers. Todd is charmed but Theo says he’s not gay.
16. Mick gives Debbie an invoice for the remaining £150. Debbie, however, makes it clear that she’s not paying it. Later, she discovers her purse is missing and thus accuses Mick of stealing it.
17. Daniel suggests that Daisy should move in with him and Bertie. Daisy, however, worries that it wouldn’t be fair to abandon Jenny. Jenny, meanwhile, expects a secret payout of £60k.
Hollyoaks
18. Sienna books a flight to join Cleo in Bali, much to the dismay of Peri, while Martha encourages her to break up with new flame, worried she might let slip some family secrets. But soon there are more pressing issues as Sienna collapses and is unable to get back up as she screams for help.
19. Lucas is worried about Dillon in the wake of their split but Rex persuades him to stay away.
20. Marie receives word that Abe’s body has been released to the morgue. Tony offers her support and ultimately surprises her with an engagement, which leaves Diane reeling.
21. Arlo continues to torment Ro and taunts him by warning of consequences if he tells anyone about their messages.
Neighbours
22. News of a body found floating in a lake leaves the community reeling as fingers are pointed while the police investigate.
23. In the wake of the previous week’s events, Krista arrives home, determined to make things right with Leo but she’s left reeling when she comes face-to-face with Chelsea, who is back with a baby. Leo, meanwhile, has bruises on his knuckles, leaving Krista wondering if he played a part in the death.
