Ella Forster (Paula Lane) has become public enemy number one in Emmerdale after being accused of a crime she claims she did not commit.
The finger was firmly pointed at the GP surgery receptionist after Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) was rushed to hospital with a suspected spiking.
There is certainly no love lost between Chas and Ella after the latter discovered that the Woolpack landlady had grown close to Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) while he was in a relationship with her.
The former feud was revisited again earlier this week when Ella unknowingly gatecrashed Chas and Liam’s engagement party. Ella accidentally bumped into Chas, who was left in agony, believing her love rival did such a thing on purpose.
Ella professed her innocence but, fed up of feeling like she doesn’t belong, the receptionist made it quite clear that she wouldn’t be walked over again, leaving viewers wondering just what she had in mind.
Chas was subsequently rushed to hospital when John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) found her out cold on the floor, with the publican thought to have been spiked.
Ella was instantly blamed for the crime – and she was arrested too, despite claiming her innocence.
The village turns on her once again, with even confidante Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) keen for her to move out in upcoming scenes. In retaliation, Ella exposes Manpreet’s online pics scandal.
With Ella making enemies left, right and centre and the character thought to be on borrowed time, could she perhaps be facing death at the hands of one of the villager’s?

The Emmerdale residents struggled to get their heads around her secret past after it was revealed that, when she was 11 years old, Ella killed her best friend – a crime for which she spent time in prison for.

Despite having now come to terms with such a thing, could her being accused of spiking Chas prove to the final straw for one scorned resident, who will take action?
Or will Ella simply leave the village of her own accord? Either way, viewers can expect drama ahead after Mandy Dingle star Lisa Riley teased ‘more to come’ for the Ella storyline.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 or stream from 7am on ITVX.
