Jamie Laing broke down in tears as he finished his ultramarathon challenge after running a brutal 150 miles over five days.
The TV personality, 36, has raised £2,007,114 in donations for Comic Relief through his Red Nose Day challenge.
The star broke down in tears in the emotional final moment, before running into the arms of his wife Sophie Haboo as the crowds cheered on his immense success.
‘That was a wild ride everyone, that was intense at times, that was emotional, I’ve never cried more in my life,’ he told his radio co-hosts Greg James and Vick Hope.
‘It is a pretty cool experience and I want to say a big thank you to every single person… who has donated and supported and sent messages.’

Ahead of sprinting to the finish line, Jamie was praised by BBC presenters for how ‘gracious’ he had been during the run, stopping to pause for selfies with fans throughout, despite struggling with the challenge.
Appearing on Radio 1 moments later, he spoke of the ‘euphoric’ feeling he had at the finish line, saying: ‘It was a really hard day today, there were so many ups and downs.
‘Greg running with me in a wedding dress was a bizarre moment, I took a garter off from his leg at some point.

‘At one point I thought I was down and out, mentally I’d gone, physically I was broken.
‘I didn’t have anything left in me.’
‘Something pulled me out and we had this last moment here and running into everyone here in Salford is the most touching, beautiful thing I’ve ever experienced,’ he added.

‘I can only imagine it’s like scoring a goal in the World Cup, it was just euphoric in every way.’
Fighting back tears, he went on to thank his friends and family for their support, before taking a well-earned moment of rest and hearing some messages from fans.
And when he heard of the immense sum he raised, he joked: ‘Let’s go run five more!’
Thanking all those who had donated, he added: ‘You’re changing lives, thank you so much.’
Earlier today, as he passed a milestone Greg joined him for the final leg, in a wedding dress after making adeal about proposing should his Radio 1 co-host reach the £500,000 milestone.
True to his word, the 39-year-old presenter was seen in a floating white dress complete with a long veil, lacy gloves, and even a garter ready for his run.

He ditched the veil for his jog, calling the whole thing a ‘fever dream’ as he matched pace with Jamie who was still keeping the momentum going on day five.
‘I’m with the couple of guys here that he’s running with, proper long-distance runners looking after him on the road,’ Greg added. ‘And they’ve said they’ve not seen anything like it, for a non-runner to immediately fall into that sort of speed is crazy. He’s just… he’s on one!’
On Monday before Jamie set off, the pair were discussing his ‘Gregathlon’ challenge for Sport Relief, with the presenter saying his now-wife Bella Mackie was so scared for him, that she proposed.

‘Are you… proposing to me, Greg?’ replied Jamie replied, leading to this agreement that he would wear a wedding dress while running together, if listeners raised over £450k.
When he saw his friend, Greg said: ‘You’re not hallucinating, this is your actual life. I’m dressed in a wedding dress, next to you, on the floor of a car park in Stockport. It’s so nice to see you.’
All the exhausted Jamie could respond was that Greg looked ‘so pretty!’

Before he reached Jamie in Matlock, Greg revealed the dress for the big day on Instagram to the shock of Jamie and fans.
‘I know you shouldn’t see the bride before the big day @jamielaing but TO HELL WITH TRADITION,’ he wrote.
‘I hope this spurs you on. See you later and we can run away together.’
In response to Greg’s get up, which he saw during a brief stop, Jamie laughed and said ‘no’ in disbelief.
‘This is honestly unbelievable!’ said the presenter who appeared to be in good spirits despite the pain he was in.
‘He’s going to be freezing! Greg, I bloody love you,’ he added before saying he had no advice to give but pointing out the tag was still on the dress.

Despite the jovial tone, Jamie has been incredibly open about how much his five day challenge has taken a toll on his body.
After he brutally vomited due to the running yesterday, he was forced to walk the first 30 minutes today, which is the first time he’s had to do so.
Sophie Habboo, his wife, comforted him as he recovered but confessed he is feeling the strain of the challenge.

In a passionate plea, she said: ‘He’s in so much pain. This whole thing has been unbelievable and I’m so proud of him, but he’s absolutely broken.
‘His knee is so swollen. I’m actually not sleeping in his room because he needs to stretch out his legs. I was in his room this morning and he was crying his eyes out.’
She added that at their pit stop, he was being cheered on by a ‘whole school’ as well as family and friends.

‘Whoever planned this… I don’t want to complain but this should have been the first day,’ Jamie joked to BBC Radio 1 about running in the Matlock wilderness.
In a voice message to Greg, the former Made In Chelsea star said: ‘Greg, I am broken. I can hardly move my legs.
‘Not even joking, the worst day yet. I know I keep saying that. I have ulcers all over my tongue and I don’t know why.

‘My right knee is totally blown up, I can hardly move my left leg. I’m going to need some help getting out of bed. I’ll see you soon hopefully.’
Despite his pain, Jamie is pushing ahead with his final 30 miles, telling Radio 1 listeners: ‘We can get today done. Let’s do it!’
On Wednesday, he admitted he almost gave up at one point due to how hard the challenge was on his body.

”That was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life, hands down,’ Jamie said.
‘There was a point today where we were about halfway, 25 kilometres, in and I just didn’t think I had it. That was it. I was done.’
Ahead of his run, he told Metro that when it comes to mentally preparing for this challenge, he’s got one major thing in his corner – his naivety.

‘I think with mental preparation, I don’t think you can think about it too much if I’m honest,’ Jamie shared.

‘I think my naivety is my biggest power. I don’t know how much this is going to hurt. I think I’m leaning on that. I’m going to take it literally one kilometre at a time.
‘Yeah, that’s what I’m literally thinking in my head. OK, let’s just keep going. Let’s just keep going. Let’s just be going. And I just want to raise as much money.’
Red Nose Day returns tonight (March 21) from 7pm on BBC One and Player.
