A man who died when he was shot in the head in Tottenham has been named as 27-year-old Mahad Abdi Mohamed.
Officers responded to an address in Waverley Road at 8.45pm on Thursday after receiving reports two men had been shot.
Police said Mahad was treated for a gunshot wound to the head and another man, 26, for a gunshot wound to the leg.
Paying tribute to Mahad, his family said: ‘Our family is grieving the profound loss of a son, a brother, a father and a friend.
‘We kindly ask for privacy during this incredibly difficult time. We are grateful for your understanding and support.’
Footage provided to Metro showed people looking on as the two men were treated and subsequently taken away in an ambulance.

They said they saw a large group of ‘youths’ in the area, many of them with their faces covered, around the time of the shooting.
One local, a 58-year-old male, expressed his dismay at what happened the previous night, but he said was ‘not surprised’.
He said: ‘I knew this was going to happen. I knew it.’

He added: ‘There are guns around here, believe you me.’
