Kate Garraway has ‘signed up’ to appear on the upcoming season of Celebrity Traitors.
The Good Morning Britain presenter, 57, has appeared on the ITV breakfast programme since 2014.
Over the years she’s also had several stints on reality TV shows – including Strictly Come Dancing in 2007 and I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! in 2019.
She’s now set to be one of the famous faces on the first celebrity version of BBC’s smash-hit series The Traitors, which is due to air sometime this year.
‘Kate has signed her contract for Celebrity Traitors,’ a source told The Sun.
‘The BBC were avoiding stars who’ve done reality TV before but Kate’s someone they want to support and champion.

‘She’s a great journalist and they think she’s perfect for a seat at the table. She’s had such a tough time since losing Derek and is a huge fan of the show, so this is a dream come true for her.’
Speculation has been rife on who might be appearing in the reality series, with several names in the mix.

One of the top stars rumoured for is TV legend Stephen Fry. According to a source, Traitors host Claudia Winkleman put him ‘right at the top of celebs she’d want’ on the show – and he ‘made it clear he’d be game’.

Stephen also addressed the rumours in an interview with Metro, joking: ‘I can say that the BBC would slice off my testicles if I were to comment publicly on the possibility of such a thing as dwelling in a castle in Scotland for a week or two – or indeed for a day or two, quite likely. I would be fired in the driveway, which is the thing they sometimes do, isn’t it, before you even get there, if you say the wrong thing.’
Other names include Jason Manford, Alison Hammond, Danny Dyer and Alan Carr.
A spokesperson for the show refused to comment on the line-up but told Metro: ‘The Traitors includes lies and deception, so it would be foolhardy for any Faithful to speculate before the game has begun.’

After a nearly four-year battle with health problems after contracting Covid-19 in 2020, Kate’s husband Derek Draper died aged 57 in January last year.
Draper was thought to have been Britain’s longest-suffering Coronavirus victim after contracting the disease in March 2020.
