Rival gang members were caught swinging machetes as they tried to stab each other in front of commuters on a platform in London.
Video footage recorded by a passenger on a Jubilee line train at Queensbury tube station shows two people in a group of five threatening each other with the long blades.
The violence broke out at 5.30 pm on Monday and officers from British Transport Police attended the scene.
In the video, one of the group seen wearing a black jacket and grey hat aims a machete at another in the group who is also dressed all in black.
A bottle is then chucked across by somebody else involved before two of them continue lunging at one another.
In total, five were involved in the fight which happened in broad daylight but only two were seen carrying the knives in the video.
In the background, a tube passenger can be heard saying: ‘This is stupid’.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a knife.
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: ‘Officers were called to Queensbury underground station at 5.30pm (24 March) to reports of a fight involving knives on the platform.
‘Officers attended and one boy aged 16 was arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article and possession of a drug (Class B).
‘Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to get in touch by texting 61016 or calling 0800 405040 quoting reference 490 of 24/03/25.’

London saw a 16% rise in knife crime in the year ending September 2024, the equivalent to a 14-year high of 15,859 offences.
The previous Home Secretary, James Cleverly, wrote a letter to Mayor Sadiq Khan in January 2024, and blamed London’s rising knife crime rate for driving an increase across England and Wales.
