Matt Damon appeared to have an unusual admirer as he showed off his ripped body transformation during filming for The Odyssey.
The 54-year-old Hollywood megastar has been filming in Italy for Christopher Nolan’s next big screen epic, which is an adaptation of the poem written by Homer.
This week, Damon – who is playing Odysseus – was seen with his shirt off getting into character sporting a grey beard, and wearing a pair of brown trousers.
A seagull flocked to the set too, appearing to get a closer look at the actor’s seriously shredded physique – which seems to have ruffled some feathers.
The over eager bird was front and centre in photos from filming, which made it look like the gull was admiring Damon’s toned body.
It’s unclear if the seagull will feature in the film, or if it’ll be included in the final casting… bill.

Filming was taking place on what looked to be a rocky shore on Favignana Island as Damon and co-star Zendaya filmed a scene together.
The Good Will Hunting star was also seen chatting to director Nolan in between takes as he walked along the water and prepared for a take.
Production got underway in February, with filming set to continue in Italy, Greece, Morocco and the UK.
In between takes, Damon was seen sitting on the rocks and covering up with a big puffer jacket to stay warm.
The movie certainly has an all-star cast, with the likes of Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong’o, Zendaya’s partner Tom Holland, Charlize Theron, Robert Pattinson and Jon Bernthal all set to take part.

Universal confirmed the subject matter of Nolan’s new film late last year after it emerged that a number of stars had signed up for the project and the project will embrace new technology.
The studio said in a statement: ‘Christopher Nolan’s next film The Odyssey is a mythic action epic shot across the world using brand new IMAX film technology.
‘The film brings Homer’s foundational saga to IMAX film screens for the first time and opens in theaters everywhere on July 17, 2026.’
Homer’s ancient Greek poem is a foundational text of Western literature and tells the story of Odysseus, King of Ithaca, and his perilous return journey after the Trojan War.
The poem includes stories such as Odysseus’ encounters with the Cyclops Polyphemus, the Sirens and witch-goddess Circe, culminating in a reunion with his wife Penelope.

The literature has been adapted multiple times over the years, notably with Ulysses, which starred Kirk Douglas and was released in 1954, while it also inspired the likes of 2000’s O Brother, Where Art Thou?

Meanwhile, actor John Leguizamo recently revealed Nolan has been running the film like an ‘indie film’.
During an appearance on MSNBC’s ‘Morning Joe’, Leguizamo explained: ‘Dude, you know the thing is, okay he’s got a crazy budget, it’s not small, but he runs [it] like an indie film because he’s not doing it by committee, he’s not doing it by what the studio says.
‘He’s like an indie filmmaker but with crazy money.’
