BNPS.co.uk (01202) 558833 Picture: Peter Willows Included in the collection are more than 30 petrol pumps, some up to nine foot tall and worth £5,000 A collection of motoring memorabilia that was saved from the scrap heap and restored to its former glory has sold for £250,000. Robin Barnard has spent the past 40 years hoarding classic petrol pumps, enamel signs and rare petrol globes to display inside his Grade II-listed 1920s filling station at Colyford near Seaton, Devon. Many of the 800 items have been salvaged from skips and rubbish dumps before being painstakingly restored by the devoted 72-year-old. Mr Barnard ran Colyford Filling Station from 1982 to 2001 before opening the adjoining building as Motoring Memories museum in 2004 to house his memorial to motoring.

***EXCLUSIVE - NO ONLINE USAGE UNTIL 00:01 WEDNESDAY 17 JULY*** SALT LAKE CITY, UT - MAY 16: Chloe Jennings-White pouring a coffee at her home on May 16, 2013 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Chloe-Jennings White wears leg braces and uses a wheelchair, even though her legs work fine, and she does not need them. The 58-year-old has chosen to live her life as a disabled person, due to rare condition called Body Integrity Identity Disorder, or BIID. BIID is thought to be caused by a neurological failing, which causes the brain not to recognise a limb or limbs. Chloe, a research scientist, bandaged herself secretly for years, but now she lives openly with her condition, using a wheelchair most of time, apart from when she wants to enjoy her hobbies such as hill-walking and skiing. Chloe admits she skis because she hopes to have an accident to damage both her legs. She sometimes even dreams about having a car crash. Now Chloe, who lives in Salt Lake City, Utah, but is originally from London, is also trying to find a surgeon willing to sever her spine in order to make her paralysed for real. Gavin and Maggie Flisher in their one bedroom flat with their six children. See MASONS story MNHOUSE: A husband and wife who claim to have had six children by mistake while living in their ONE BEDRROM flat have demanded a four bedroom house from the council - for FREE. Maggie Flisher, 26, and her husband Gavin, 30, have not worked a single day between them since giving birth to their first child in 2005. Instead they rely on a total of £27,000 in benefits paid out to them and their six children, who are all under the age of eight. Incredibly the couple say they have been let down by contraception FIVE TIMES which is why all of their children have been born in the unsuitable living space. The fertile pair say the pill, condoms, arm implants and an injection have all failed to stop them conceiving. It means the three eldest children Lacieann, eight, Elektra, six, Gavin Jnr, five all currently sleep in the only bedroom.

BNPS.co.uk (01202 558833) Pic: PhilYeomans/BNPS Proud Brian Hill on the 1937 Vincent HRD classic he first spotted in 1968 - and never dreamt he would own. A good turn by a cash strapped student in 1968 has netted him a whopping £225,000 windfall over 40 years later. When a struggling young student in 1968 Brian spotted an advert for the bike of his dreams - A pre war Vincent HRD for just £40, unfortunatley for Brian he could not scrape together the funds required and so mentioned the find to friend John Lumley who snapped up the two tea chests that contained the precious bike. It wasn't until 41 years later that Brian received a phone call to say that John had never forgotten his tip and had gifted the now iconic machine back to him in his will - still in the original tea chests. However the value of the these very rare machines has shot up in the intervening years and Brian's now lovingly restored bike would be worth nearly £250,000 at auction today.

PIC BY JOSTEIN SOLDAL / CATERS NEWS - (PICTURED: People on the Trolls Tongue) - These are the daredevil adventurers who create their very own, potentially fatal, stunts on the tip of the Trolls Tongue, a tongue-shaped rock ledge that extends out over the valley floor 2,500 feet below. The scary view is only accessible after a network of steep hiking trails but the views from the top of the famous Norwegian landmark are stunning, if not for the fainthearted. SEE CATERS COPY

In this Wednesday, July 10, 2013 photo, supporters of ousted Egypt's President Mohammed Morsi, perform an evening prayer known as 'Tarawih' during the Islamic month of Ramadan, in Nasr City, Cairo, Egypt. As the sun set on the first day of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, families across Cairo gathered for the fast-breaking iftar meal in a country that in the last two weeks has seen protests by millions, a coup against an elected president and the deaths of dozens of people in clashes with the military. Ramadan is traditionally a time of personal reflection and feeling a sense of brotherhood with fellow Muslims, but in the aftermath of the military overthrow of President Mohammed Morsi, the divisions among Egyptians extend even down to this traditional meal.
