Gergana is Metro UK's first senior foreign news reporter. She has carried out on-the-ground reporting in Lebanon, France, Moldova and Georgia, including the occupation line with South Ossetia. She is a John Schofield Trust 2023 fellow and a Digital Sherlock with the Atlantic Council's Digital Forensic Research Lab.
