A major emergency response is underway in central London after a man was reported to be on the roof of the New Zealand High Commission in the early hours of this morning. Emergency services were called to New Zealand House, near Trafalgar Square, shortly after 3.30am on Friday following reports of a man at height. Liam Matthews. Four men have today (Thursday 27th March) been convicted of their parts in a fatal knife attack which led to the death of 26-year-old Lewis Bell in Stockton. The incident happened in the early hours of Thursday 19th September 2024, when Lewis Bell was chased by three men before being fatally stabbed in the back and left to die in the street. The attackers ran away and disposed of weapons and clothing with the help of a fourth man, who also arranged a taxi to take them away from the scene. Sean Mcleod, aged 23, was today convicted of murder. Liam Matthews who is now 26 and Ashton White who is now 18, were convicted of manslaughter. Macauley Wright, aged 26, assisted the three others and he was convicted of assisting an offender.
