A teacher who starred in a Channel 4 hit series is set to stand trial accused of a string of sex crimes. Assistant head Gareth Ritter, 43, appeared in the fly-on-the-wall series Educating Cardiff while he taught at the city's Willows High School. The eight-episode series was broadcast in 2015 and was the fourth instalment of the Educating brand after previous series in Essex, Yorkshire and the East End. Ritter, a music teacher, won awards for his use of technology in the classroom and was also conductor of Ebbw Valley Brass Band WALES NEWS SERVICE
