PIC: MARK PASSMORE/APEX 28/07/2022 BBC star Zoe Ball is hot to trot - to meet Britain's first pony Mayor. The presenter wants to hoof it to Cockington in Devon for a parley with Patrick - the village's beer swilling mayor. Miniature Shetland Patrick was given the special title at a ceremony in the Devon village on Saturday. The therapy pony lived in the village for about two years - travelling to nearby hospitals, recovery groups, mental health wards and schools to support people in need. Despite having since been moved away due to a lack of suitable winter grazing fields, he still makes regular trips back to Cockington with his owners Kirk and Hannah Petrakis. He has been given the mayoral role after his fans started a tongue-in-cheek petition to online. ** SEE STORY BY APEX NEWS - 01392 823144 ** ---------------------------------------------------- APEX NEWS AND PICTURES NEWS DESK: 01392 823144 PICTURE DESK: 01392 823145
