**VIDEO AVAILABLE. CONTACT INFO@COVERMG.COM TO RECEIVE.** A startup aiming to create the world???s first commercial space station has unveiled a stunning preview of what visitors can expect. Haven-1's interior resembles a luxury hotel with sleek wood veneer accents, soft padded white walls, a gym, and private rooms equipped with entertainment and communication technology for staying in touch with loved ones back on Earth. Each of the four private quarters features built-in storage, a vanity, and a custom amenities kit. But beyond aesthetics, Vast, the creators of Haven-1, have prioritised improving sleep in space - often a challenge for astronauts due to weightlessness. The signature sleep system they developed is about the size of a queen-size bed and offers a customised pressure distribution that adapts to side or back sleepers. "This is not just any old duvet," says Hillary Coe, Vast???s chief design and marketing officer, in an interview with Wired. "It???s a duvet that inflates, creating this equal pressure up against you which allows for a beautiful, comfortable night???s rest." At the station???s core is a common area featuring a deployable table and a domed window for breathtaking views of space. The images released so far are just mock-ups, but the final designs are expected to resemble these visions closely. Vast anticipates the station could welcome its first visitors as early as 2026, with plans to launch it on SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket "no earlier than August 2025." Veteran NASA astronaut Andrew Feustel, who has spent over 225 days on the ISS, has provided valuable insights to Vast in designing the station's interior. "I???ve flown three missions to space, and we are learning from those experiences and innovating to improve the way we can live and work on a space station," Feustel said. "Every detail has been designed with the astronaut experience at the core of our work." Though no price has been announced, a stay at Haven-1 could likely be reserved for the ultra-wealthy, as a trip aboard SpaceX???s Crew Dragon to the ISS costs around $55 million. Despite the luxurious feel, Haven-1 is designed to host "state-of-the-art facilities for scientific research." CEO Max Haot said: "We are not building a luxury hotel in space. We are applying design to enhance crew cohesion, productivity, safety, and communication to help sovereign astronauts and self-funded private individuals achieve their important orbital mission objectives."
