Shocked police gave this driver a stern warning after he drove past them with an entire wardrobe hanging out the back of his car. The car was stopped in Hastings, Sussex and after a few words the man and his passenger carried the wardrobe to its destination. See SWNS story SWSMwardrobe. Officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team pulled over the car after it drove past them last Tuesday. Officers tweeted: "Hastings NPT Officers on patrol yesterday were quick to act when they spotted a vehicle they were concerned about. "After giving advice to the driver regarding the insecure load, he and his friend decided to carry the item for the rest of its journey."

Manhunt for Killer on the run as Murder investigation launched after 15-year-old boy is stabbed to death in Crawley Crawley police have launched a murder investigation after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed to death in broad daylight. The incident occurred on Malthouse Road in town, and officers and paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service were seen at the railway station and town centre. Forensics have arrived and set up a tent. A helicopter from the National Police Air Service is also present. Sussex Police has been contacted for a statement

The police watchdog is investigating whether two Sussex Police officers used excessive force against the 93-year-old man. Sussex Police officers attended a care home in East Sussex following reports a resident had a knife. One of them used Pava spray, which is similar to pepper spray, and the other deployed a Taser, before the knife was removed from the man and he was handcuffed.
